Clear, mature deep gold. Nose of bruised apple with a hint of apricot and spice. Medium-bodied, tastes of baked apples with a bit of brown sugar; hint of lemony acidity. The fruit is dropping out; this should be enjoyed now.
Crafted without oak or malolactic fermentation, but with minimal lees contact; leads to citrusy acidity, vibrant fruit and a well-balanced round texture. Abundant orchard fruit aromas and flavours. Sage and mineral notes persist. Versatile with sushi rolls.
A well-priced Beaujolais cru. Purple-black in colour with a floral, black-cherry nose; light and fresh, fruity but firm. Easy drinking. Chill lightly.
Pale yellow. Ripe fruity nose, slighly perfumed by floral notes. Good presence in the mouth, almost dense, yet it has finesse especially in the long, perfectly balanced finish. Arneis is a lesser-known grape that deserves more attention.
This version of Quarry Road has minerals in spades; a flinty/chalky/gunsmoke quality that flows effortlessly from nose to palate and combines with fine oak nuances to form the backbone of this elegant Chard. With the mineral component, look for poached pear and a range of orchard fruits on the nose and underlying barrel-spice notes. It is magical on palate with those flinty, chalky, almost smoky mineral notes that integrate so well with the depth of pear and apple skin and elegant spices.
Sourced from the oldest Chardonnay vines in Ontario. The style is seductive, vivacious and rich with notes of poached pear, baked apple, vanilla toast and sublime minerality and spice notes. It has weight and viscosity on the palate with a leesy presentation to go with orchard fruits, flinty minerality, toasted spice and vanilla, and a finish that goes on forever.
A blend of a dozen vintages. Clear medium-deep gold, with lots of fizzy bubbles. Complex nose featuring yeast, ripe apple, cultured butter, lime and caramel. Creamy mouthfeel; full-bodied, classic and elegant with a long finish. Drink up.
