A stylish California style showing ripe peach and floral notes on the nose and generous apricot, peach and honeyed flavours, balanced by zesty acidity with a long harmonious finish. Pair with richer seafood and white meat dishes.
There is Vinho Verde you think you know, and there are wines like this. From one of Vinho Verde's icons, this is Alvarinho from the Monção and Melgaço subregion, regarded as a "cru" in quality. For this wine, the vineyards sidle the river and are blanketed with stones. Wild pear is slicked with salts, meadow herbs and scented with a perfume of wild mint. The form is greyhound-sleek and the finish lingers with savoury allure. Best with some breathing space.
A bright and vibrant wine with juicy cherry flavours, lifted acidity, balanced and long with a touch of savoury spice on the finish. A great example of how good the simplicity and purity of Barbera d’Asti can be with respect to drinkability and as an everyday food wine. A great value.
Beautiful dark orange colour. Muted nose with only hints of red fruits and blood orange. Its light to medium body offers more than most rosés; the soft mouthfeel has a ripe, fruity taste lifted by fine acidity. It finishes a tad warm without losing its balance. Drink over the next 2 years.
Bright, complex, rich and smoky with cherry and raspberry aromas and flavours, citrus and toasted brioche, persistent and elegant bubbles with wonderful structure and focused acidity. Amazing texture and balance and a persistent finish that begs another taste. 100% Pinot Noir.
A ripe, intense nose of blackberries, plums, figs, pepper and a complex array of oak spices. It’s quite generous on the palate with notes of blackcurrants, plums, black pepper and barrel spices that’s all held together by fine-grained tannins.
