The flagship wine of Michel Rolland’s vast portfolio is just great in this famous vintage. Of dark ruby colour, it shows a classy nose of pure fruit with hints of red flowers. Oak is “forgotten,” lost in the fruit. Overall, very elegant and harmonious on the palate; the expression “a steel hand in a velvet glove” applies here. A great wine, hard to translate into words.
