Virtual Vineland has officially launched. It is a comprehensive re-design of the Vineland Research and Innovation Centre website serving as a one-stop, interactive resource for the horticulture and floriculture industries and featuring the new Vineland Blog.

“Innovation happens when people are free to interact with their peers, share knowledge and excellence in an open and collaborate forum,” said Dr. Jim Brandle, CEO, Vineland Research and Innovation Centre. “Not only does the Vineland Research and Innovation Centre foster this kind of entrepreneurial spirit, but so too does Virtual Vineland through the introduction of our new blog and other interactive features on our new website. Guests are welcome to interact with our scientists, industry professionals and some of Ontario’s finest master gardeners among others.”

Focusing on Vineland’s three areas of excellence: Research, Business and Destination, Virtual Vineland offers:

• Industry-driven, leading-edge research

• A repository for horticulture resources

• An all-inclusive calendar outlining horticulture events and happenings across the country and around the world

• Information on how to become a part of the Vineland Vision

• Details on Vineland as a science and leisure destination

• A forum for two-way communication with the new Vineland Blog

With its blog, Vineland hopes to provide help, guidance and something a little more than simply gardening tips. It aims to engage and inform on topics from what’s new in horticulture science, the science of gardening or simply the mere pleasure of it, to what’s new at the Vineland Research and Innovation Centre. The blog will include anything and everything from news, images, videos and interesting conversations taking place around the globe relating to horticulture. It will also be introducing some guest bloggers from time to time.

” Virtual Vineland offers the industry an easy-to-use, interactive and informative place to find the latest buzz surrounding horticulture science,” said Darlene Webb, director public relations and communications for Vineland Research and Innovation Centre. “But it’s not just our content that’s going to make this site really interesting – it’s going to be our visitors’ experiences, ideas, feedback and useful tips.”

Known for vineyards, orchards and restaurants, Vineland is located in the Niagara Region of Ontario.  The Vineland Research and Innovation Centre is in the centre of this Peninsula surrounded by beauty and history.
