There’s absolutely no need to wonder what you’ll be doing from August 25 to September 4 because Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia is inviting you to attend an entertaining culinary event, entitled “Right Some Good: Ten World-Class International Chefs. One Extraordinary Foodie Adventure.”

“We are delighted to bring this incredible event home to Cape Breton,” says Pearleen Mofford, event founder. “We know that there is nothing like this anywhere else in the world and we believe that we will show an entirely new side of the Island – bringing people from near and far to share in the experience.” Expect the unexpected in Right Some Good. The show will bring ten unique culinary events to communities around the Island. Attendees will dine in exquisite locations. All host communities showcase natural beauty alongside the culture and heritage of the Island. The locations include Judique Community Centre, Little River Harbour, Orangedale Train Station, Ingonish Beach, Nova Scotia Gaelic College, St. Peter’s Canal, Cape Breton Miners Museum, Cruise ship Pavilion/Big Fiddle, The Lakes Golf Club and Fortress Louisbourg.

“This magnificent foodie adventure shows a new side of Cape Breton while championing local food producers, suppliers and communities in sustainable, profitable ways” says Mary Tulle, CEO of Destination Cape Breton Association. “We know that culinary is a key motivator to bring people to our area. This will allow us to market Cape Breton Island in new and exciting ways.” Each event will be spearheaded by an innovative culinary team consisting of an international Chef, an inspired local Chef and a promising Jr. Chef. These custom menus will focus on ingredients that are indigenous to Cape Breton, creating a demand for local products and exposing suppliers to new local and international markets.

Competitions have already begun to select the finest Jr. Chefs from across Canada and the most innovative Local Chefs from around the Island. Applications can still be found online at RightSomeGood.ca.
