#FridayCocktail – Whisky Sour

By / Wine + Drinks / April 4th, 2014 / 2

I never could wrap my palate around whisky. My father and ex-husband are both single malt kind of men and yet, I could never get over the burn of the alcohol. I know, I’m a lightweight, especially for an Irish girl. But, I have learned to appreciate a few whisky-based cocktails, including the whisky sour. My grandmother would be proud…

Ingredients

½ cup orange juice

1 ounce fresh lemon juice

1 ounce triple sec

2 ounces of blended whisky

Ice

Orange slice (for garnish)

Maraschino cherry (for garnish)

Preparation

In a glass filled with ice, add orange juice, lemon juice, triple sec, and whisky.

Stir and top with an orange slice and a maraschino cherry, if desired.
