By / Wine + Drinks / August 2nd, 2013 / Like

Inspired by the Mediterranean sun, fruit and wine of Spain, this #FridayCocktail will have your guests dreaming of tiled rooftops and white-washed walls. Serve outdoors, in the early evening hours, with a selection of delicious tapas. ¡Salud!

Ingredients

1 cup of Cointreau or Grand Marnier

2 bottles of Cava – chilled

1 tablespoon of finely granulated sugar

2 oranges – thinly sliced

1 lemon – thinly sliced

1 lime – thinly sliced

2 peaches – stones removed; quartered

Preparation

In a large pitcher, combine the Cointreau or Grand Marnier and sugar.

Stir until sugar is dissolved.

Add your lemon, lime, peaches and 1 orange, saving remaining one for garnish.

Top with Cava.

Serve as is, or over ice, in a large wine glass. Garnish with an orange slice.

For a little additional colour, throw in a few frozen raspberries.
