#FridayCocktail – Peanut Butter Cup Martini

By / Wine + Drinks / September 12th, 2014 / 2

I saw them today. The pumpkins,  sitting at the Farmer’s Market, waiting for us to embrace Fall. I don’t think I’m ready…

They did remind me, however, that time certainly does fly and soon I will be dressing up my little men and sending them out to fill their Halloween bags with goodies.

Although I am fairly disciplined when it comes to my eating habits, I will admit to two weaknesses; gummy bears and peanut butter cups. Both always show up in the candy bags and somehow, some way, my hand usually finds its way into those candy bags. This is why I just renewed my gym membership and I’ll add another run to my weekly schedule.

Now, to add a little adult indulgence to these favourites , you can soak those gummy bears in vodka for a few hours and voilà…drunken jellies – just don’t eat too many!! Or, how about this Peanut Butter Cup Martini…yummy!

Ingredients

Chocolate syrup

1 1/2 ounce of chocolate vodka

1 ounce of Castries Crème Peanut Rum liqueur

3/4 ounce of chocolate liqueur

1/2 ounce 10-20% cream

Peanut butter cup for garnish

Ice

Preparation

Drizzle a small amount of chocolate syrup into the bottom of a chilled Martini glass and refrigerate.

Add the vodka, liqueurs and cream to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.

Shake vigourosly and strain into your chilled, chocolate drizzled, Martini glass.

Garnish with a peanut butter cup.
