Cocktail Thursday – T-Dot

By / Wine + Drinks / January 26th, 2012 / 1

Adapted from a recipe developed by Henry of Pelham Family Estate Winery, Niagara.

This is a classic T-dot cocktail. T-Dot is what most of us used to call TO, or simply Toronto, Ontario. No matter what’s going on outside, you can always find colour and flavour inside. Hence the fabulous flavours offered in this combination. Sweet, fruity, tart, bold … yes, even stylish and cool. It will warm you up in the dead of winter and cool you off in the summer. How can three simple ingredients achieve so much? Give it try and see for yourself.

T-Dot

2 oz whiskey
1 oz Cabernet Franc Icewine
Dash Angostura Bitters

Mix whiskey with Icewine and bitters over ice and stir. The drink should not be cloudy. Strain into a martini glass. Garnish with frozen grapes.
