What happens when you can’t finish that Shiraz you purchased at or brought to the restaurant? It used to be that you forfeited that wine and had to leave the store half a bottle lighter. Now, many provinces allow you to bring home wine you couldn’t finish at dinner.

The good news is that liquor laws are evolving. Recorking your bottle of wine is a thing, and it’s gaining some traction across the country. Read on for a list of the rules in each province. Arm yourself with this knowledge and salvage your favourite wine.
